Pink Motorcycle Helmets has gained in pupularity hugely over the past couple of years. And now not only the female popultion don them, but an increasing number of males.

Choosing And Buying Pink Motorcycle Helmets

Anyway, when you’re looking for pink motorbike helmets, you want to be concerned with more than just the hue… you want to find a helmet that is designed to protect you properly, at the same time it looks good. You can find pink helmets as full face, three quarter shell and half shell beanie style. You can even get them in lightweight, tough and durable carbon fiber. Yup… they’re not just pretty, they’re tough too!

Make sure you get the right size helmet for your head. If your helmet is too big, then it can fly off in a spill… which is when you need it! You’ll also get wind flying in and up your helmet, and that will make it rise up and pull away from your head, and cause you a ton of strain on your neck. However, get one that’s too small for you and you’ll end up with headaches. It really pays to try on a ton of them, and leave them on for awhile to see how they feel. You want it to be snug, and grip the top and sides of your head. If you want a full face helmet, it should also grip your cheeks and the area of your jaw. When you try it on, shake your head around and see if it stays put. You don’t want your head to be knocking about inside it like a ping pong ball. Also, fasten the chin strap, grab the helmet from the back, and try to pull it off your head by yanking it up and forward. If you can get it off with the chin strap on, then it’s too big.

Pink motorcycle helmets are useless unless they are Department of Transportation certified. The helmet should have a ‘DOT’ sticker on the back of it. This means it meets safety standards, and has undergone testing. And of course, the fact that its pink has a safety feature all its own too! A pink helmet is going to be more noticeable than basic black… which means you’ll stand out on the road, and drivers will see you coming. You won’t be able to convince your hubby to don a pink helmet for safety reasons… but hey, you can have some fun trying.

So when you have decided on a make that you like then spend some time on sizing. Each helmet that you buy will be different.  So just becuase you have been a medium before, or a medium in a normal hat size, does not mean anything.  Try every new helmet as if it were your first.

The sizing guide below may help. Measure your head at its largest circumference usually just above your eyebrows in front, over your eyes and around in back.

Do this several times so that you know you have the correct measurements. If your head size falls turns out to be in between the numbers in the chart , then apply the larger one. i.e the next one up.
